Position Overview: 

The Commercial Lines Insurance Producer is a key member of our insurance agency team, responsible for generating and managing commercial insurance business. The primary focus of this role is to identify and develop new business opportunities while maintaining excellent relationships with existing clients. The Commercial Lines Producer will work closely with underwriters and other team members to provide comprehensive insurance solutions tailored to the specific needs of businesses.
 
 
 Responsibilities: 

1.    Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in the commercial insurance market. This includes prospecting, lead generation, networking, and building a referral network to expand the agency's client base.
2.    Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients. Conduct regular client meetings to understand their evolving insurance needs, provide personalized advice, and address any concerns or questions they may have.
3.    Needs Analysis and Solution Design: Analyze client businesses to assess their insurance requirements and risks. Collaborate with underwriters and risk management experts to design customized insurance solutions that align with clients' unique needs.
4.    Sales and Marketing: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets. Create and implement marketing campaigns to promote commercial insurance products and the agency's services.
5.    Policy Management: Oversee the policy administration process, including policy issuance, renewals, endorsements, and claims. Ensure accurate and timely documentation and communication with clients throughout the policy lifecycle.
6.    Compliance and Regulations: Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, changes in insurance laws, and compliance requirements to ensure adherence to all legal and ethical standards.
7.    Cross-Selling and Account Rounding: Identify opportunities for cross-selling other insurance products or additional coverages to existing clients, maximizing revenue potential, and providing comprehensive insurance solutions.
8.    Market Intelligence: Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions to provide insights and recommendations for product enhancements and business growth.
9.    Professional Development: Continuously improve knowledge and skills through training, workshops, and industry certifications to enhance expertise in commercial insurance products and services.

 
 Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven track record of successful sales and business development in the commercial insurance industry.
  • Possess or willing to obtain necessary insurance licenses and certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, and risk management practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in using computer software, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Results-driven with the ability to meet and exceed sales targets and quotas.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tailor insurance solutions to meet clients' needs.
